The History Major offers a critical examination of past societies, events and ideas. You’ll explore a variety of different time periods and geographical locations to gain an understanding of how global histories are created.
You will evaluate historical evidence, compare and contrast opposing viewpoints and draw your own conclusions about the world around you.
Elective modules will help you understand the breadth of this discipline and also give you a broad skillset.
Options to learn a language and study abroad at one of our international partners will help expand your learning and global outlook.
This degree will develop you into a highly employable individual who is able to pursue a career in fields as diverse as politics, publishing, archive and museum work, academia, and journalism.

3 A-levels (typically BCC) or international equivalent Mathematics GCSE at grades A-C/9-4 or equivalent
English Language Requirements
IELTS: Overall score of 6.0 with no score below 5.5 in any of the four components, or equivalent
